Geography of Lome

Lomé, Togo, the country's capital, largest city, and chief seaport. It is on the Gulf of Guinea, 110 miles (177 km) east of Accra, Ghana, and 160 miles (257 km) west of Lagos, Nigeria. The city has an airport and rail connections to the interior. Coffee, cocoa, palm nuts, cotton, and peanuts are exported. Lomé was founded by Germans in the late 19th century.
