Skeena River, a river in western British Columbia, Canada. It begins in the Skeena Mountains and flows southwestward through the Coast Mountains to the Pacific Ocean, near the city of Prince Rupert. The river is 360 miles (580 km) long; major tributaries include the Bulkley and Babine rivers. The northernmost highway and railway across British Columbia follow the Bulkley and lower Skeena valleys.
