Hull, officially Kingston upon Hull, England, a city in Humberside County at the junction of the Humber and Hull Rivers, 150 miles (240 km) north of London. It is one of England's chief ports and a major industrial center. Industries include food processing, shipbuilding, oil distilling, metalworking, and the manufacture of paints, chemicals, machinery, and aircraft. Hull was founded in the 13th century.
