In Switzerland, Belle Époque week is a time for Alpine villagers and visitors to don 19th-century period costumes and celebrate what was seen as a golden era of cultural changes, social optimism, technological advancements and international travel. To experience what it would've been like during the Belle Époque, or Beautiful Era, this participant rides on a historic train from Bern to Kandersteg.
