Grampian Mountains, a mountain range in the Scottish Highlands, extending southwest to northeast across the central part of the country. Great Britain's highest peak, Ben Nevis, rises to 4,406 feet (1,343 m) in the western Grampians. In the eastern section, among the Cairngorm Mountains, are several peaks more than 4,000 feet (1,219 m) high.
