Boulder, Colorado, the seat of Boulder County. It lies about 5,350 feet (1,631 m) above sea level at the base of the Rocky Mountains, 30 miles (48 km) northwest of Denver. Boulder is the home of the main campus of the University of Colorado and is a center of scientific research and electronics manufacturing.
