Canton, Ohio, the seat of Stark County. It is on Nimishillen Creek, 60 miles (97 km) southeast of Cleveland, in a large steel-producing area. Canton is an industrial city. Its factories manufacture a variety of products, including roller bearings, appliances, alloy steel, office equipment, and processed foods.
