Columbia, Tennessee, the seat of Maury County. It is on the Duck River in the central part of the state. Columbia is the trade center for an area that produces cattle, tobacco, and phosphates. The city also has various light manufacturing industries. The National Tennessee Walking Horse Jubilee, a horse show, is an annual event. Columbia was founded in 1807.
