Lackawanna, New York, a city in Erie County. It is situated at the eastern end of Lake Erie, directly south of Buffalo. The city has shipyards and its factories produce steel, cement, concrete, and abrasives. Lackawanna was incorporated as a city in 1909. It is governed by a mayor and council.
