Marion, Indiana, the seat of Grant County. It is on the Mississinewa River, 61 miles (98 km) north-northeast of Indianapolis. Marion is an industrial city and a trade center for a farming area. The main products are automobile and aircraft parts, electronic parts, wire, glass containers, plastics, and paper products. Indiana Wesleyan University is here. Marion was settled in 1825.
