Geography of Orange
Orange, New Jersey, a city in Essex County, four miles (6 km) northwest of downtown Newark. Products include office machines, drugs, textiles, and beer. Orange was settled in 1675 and incorporated as a city in 1872. Orange and the surrounding communities of East Orange, West Orange, and South Orange are popularly known as "the Oranges." The four communities are residential suburbs of Newark and New York City.
