Simi Valley, California, a city in Ventura County. It is in the San Fernando Valley, about 35 miles (56 km) northwest of downtown Los Angeles, and is primarily a residential community. Settlement of the area dates from the early 19th century. Simi Valley was established in 1969 by the incorporation of the communities of Simi, Santa Susana, and Susana Knolls.
