Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, a city in Milwaukee County. It is immediately west of the city of Milwaukee, which it adjoins. Wauwatosa is mainly a residential suburb, but it has some manufacturing. Several county institutions are nearby. Wauwatosa was settled in 1835 and incorporated as a city in 1897.
