Williamsport, Pennsylvania, the seat of Lycoming County. It is on the west branch of the Susquehanna River in the North-Central part of the state. Williamsport grew with the development of the lumber industry in the 19th century. Today it is a manufacturing city and a trade and distribution point for an agricultural area.

Little League Baseball began in Williamsport in 1939. The Little League World Series is held here each year. The Little League Museum has exhibits on the History Of Little League Baseball. The Lycoming County Historical Museum And Lycoming College are in the city.

Williamsport was incorporated as a borough in 1806 and as a city in 1866.
