Salmon River Mountains, a mountain range in central Idaho. The range is bounded on the north and east by the Salmon River and on the west by the South Fork of the Salmon River. In the south, the range reaches the headwaters of the Middle Fork of the Salmon River. Several peaks exceed 9,000 feet (2,700 m); the highest, Twin Peaks, reaches 10,328 feet (3,148 m).
