Sawatch Range, a range of the Rocky Mountains in central Colorado. It extends north-south for about 100 miles (160 km) and forms part of the Continental Divide. The Arkansas River runs along its eastern edge. Within the range is the highest peak in the Rockies—14,433-foot (4,399-m) Mount Elbert. Other summits exceeding 14,000 feet (4,267 m) include Mount Massive and the Collegiate Peaks—Mounts Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Columbia, and Oxford.
